This Privacy Policy describes how the ArrView mobile application (the “App”) handles information. The App is provided by Patrick McDonald (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We do not operate any backend service and we do not collect, receive, store, or have access to your personal information. Specifically, the App does not:
To function, the App stores the configuration you provide entirely on your device:
This information never leaves your device except to communicate directly with the servers you have configured. You can remove it at any time by resetting the App from its Settings screen or by deleting the App, which also removes its associated Keychain entries.
ArrView is a client for media-management software (such as Sonarr, Radarr, SABnzbd, NZBHydra, and ArrView) that you run and control. When you use the App, it sends requests directly from your device to the server addresses you provide—typically on your own local network—in order to display your library, downloads, and related information.
These servers are operated by you or by a party you have chosen to trust; they are not operated by us. Any data shown in the App is retrieved from those servers and is not copied to us or to any other destination. Your use of those servers is governed by their own configuration and policies, not this one.
The App can use Apple’s Local Network and Bonjour features to discover compatible ArrView servers on the same network. iOS will ask for your permission before the App accesses the local network. This discovery happens on your device and on your local network only; no information about your network is sent to us.
The configuration and credentials you provide are used solely to connect to and display data from your chosen servers. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the features you request.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. Because we do not collect it in the first place, there is nothing for us to share.
API keys are stored using the iOS Keychain, which is protected by the operating system. Because no data is transmitted to us, there is no developer-side database that could be breached. You are responsible for securing the servers you connect to and the network you use. Note that connections to local servers may use plain HTTP if your server is configured that way; we recommend using HTTPS where your server supports it.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because all data stays on your device, you remain in full control of it at all times. You can view, change, or delete your stored settings and credentials from within the App, or remove everything by uninstalling the App. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; since we do not collect or process your personal data, there is no data for us to access, correct, or erase on your behalf.
The App processes data only on your own device and on the servers you connect to. We do not transfer your personal data internationally because we do not receive it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the App or its App Store release notes. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
